United to Christ Through the Word: Internalizing Jesus in His Teachings
Jesus’ name is "The Word." This name belonged to the Father first, and He shared it with Jesus, who in turn shares it with all who will received it. And the way to receive it is to exercise an attitude of internalizing Jesus’ teachings, depending on Him for strength. When we receive Jesus in the form of the Word, He considers us as part of Himself. The ramifications of this union are universe-altering.
